Gas shutdown alert issued for Bajaur and adjoining areas

Gas supplies will be temporarily suspended in parts of Peshawar because of work on a gas pipeline, according to a notice issued by the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

According to the notice, the Sui Gas supply interruption will affect areas along Bara Road, Ring Road and adjoining localities.

The gas supply will be suspended from 08:30 PM on Thursday, 24 August, until 05:30 AM on Friday, 25 August, the notice says.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to make arrangements in advance and use gas carefully during the shutdown.

The notice said gas supplies would be restored after the work was completed.
