Mir Raza Ali: Dr Summaiya accuses Dr Osama of leaking edited private conversation

Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya has lodged a complaint with the judicial commission investigating the Mir Raza Ali case, alleging harassment and a negative campaign against her.

According to details of the complaint filed with the judicial commission, Dr Summaiya alleged that Dr Osama leaked edited portions of their private conversation, damaging her reputation.

She said Dr Osama appeared before the commission three times but did not submit the complete recording of their conversation. According to the police surgeon, parts of the conversation were provided to specific media channels and digital platforms.

She expressed concern that presenting excerpts from a private conversation out of context could divert attention from the actual issue.

Dr Summaiya further alleged that Dr Osama had accepted the interim post-mortem report as correct but was refusing to recognise the final report.

She said Dr Osama’s statements raised questions about his conduct.

The police surgeon maintained that once a multi-member board conducts a post-mortem, any previous report becomes secondary in status.

She also said Dr Osama’s conclusions regarding the gunshot wounds amounted to disregarding scientific evidence.

Dr Summaiya told the commission that, subject to its permission, she was willing to submit the complete recording of her conversation with Dr Osama.

She said a review of the full recording would help eliminate any possibility of misunderstanding or misinterpretation.

Earlier, ARY News obtained an audio recording of a conversation between Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya and MLO Dr. Osama in the Mir Raza Ali case.

In the audio, Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya can allegedly be heard assuring MLO Dr. Osama about several matters related to the report.

Dr. Sumaiya told Dr. Osama that the report would be copied to the MLO concerned.

“This report will come in your name, not mine,” Dr. Summaiya can be heard saying. She further told Dr. Osama to release the report immediately after receiving it.

“We will prepare every word of the report while sitting together,” she said, adding that they would release it after preparing the report.

Dr. Summaiya can also be heard saying that she would release the report to Jibran Nasir and tell him, “This is the report.”
