Overseas Pakistanis get a major facility in PSW registration process

Pakistan Single Window (PSW), a digital online platform that lets businesses submit trade documents and data just once to meet all import, export, and transit rules, has introduced remote biometric verification through the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) PakID Mobile App.

The integration allows users to complete biometric verification for PSW subscription, renewal, and profile updates using their smartphones, removing the previous requirement to visit a NADRA e-Sahulat Centre.

The move is expected to make the process easier for overseas Pakistanis involved in trade, who can now complete the PSW biometric verification process remotely rather than travelling to a center in Pakistan.

Both options will remain available during an interim period. Users can either complete verification through the PakID app or continue using NADRA e-Sahulat Centres.

PSW Chief Executive Officer Syed Aftab Haider said the integration reflected the organization’s commitment to responding to the needs of the PSW community in Pakistan and abroad.

He said enabling remote biometric verification removed another physical step from the onboarding process, making the PSW user journey more convenient and accessible.

The integration removes the last remaining physical requirement in the PSW subscription process, making onboarding fully digital.

PSW said the move was part of its broader effort to expand digital solutions and improve accessibility for businesses and overseas Pakistanis engaged in trade.
