ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has removed Federal Secretary for Health Aslam Ghori following the tragic fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) that claimed the lives of 15 innocent infants, ARY News reported.
Additionally, the Prime Minister has constituted a high-level committee to conduct a thorough inquiry into the incident.
The Prime Minister announced these decisions while chairing an emergency meeting convened after the devastating fire at the capital’s major public hospital.
During the meeting, the Premier also expressed strong displeasure with the concerned officials of PIMS and the Health Ministry regarding the tragedy.
Former secretary interior Shahid Khan will head the committee while others members included secretary establishment Dr Barister Nabeel Awan.
