LAHORE: The digitalization of the examination system across Punjab’s education boards officially launched on Friday, ARY News reported.
Speaking on the occasion, Muzamil Mahmood, Chairman of the Task Force on Examinations in Punjab and member of the Chief Minister’s Advisory Committee on Education, stated that the introduction of e-sheets will render impersonation and fake candidate attendance impossible.
He added that transitioning to e-sheets will eliminate the reliance on conventional recycled paper.
Mahmood formally inaugurated the e-sheet examination system for the Punjab Board. In the maiden exam conducted under this system, approximately 50,000 students sat for their biology paper using e-sheets.
Results are expected to be processed and declared significantly faster due to e-sheet technology and online marking.
Mahmood also announced that, starting next year, all subject examinations across Punjab will be conducted using the e-sheet system.
