RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court heard Sidra Arab murder case, in which 13 persons including the head of a Jirga, her father and others were nominated.

Public Prosecutor Rana Saadat Ali and defence lawyers Basharatullah and Ilyas Siddiqui advocates appeared in the case hearing.

Sidra Arab, aged 19 years, was killed last year on the night between July 16 and 17, last year in the name of honour after a decision by a Jirga.

Prosecutor submitted a plea to the court for dismissing bail petition of the nominated accused. Defence lawyers challenged jurisdiction of the court in a petition. The court issued notices to parties and invited arguments from lawyers in the hearing on September 05.

The head of Jirga, Asmatullah, father and brother of the victim, her ex-husband, have been among 13 accused nominated in the case.
