LAHORE: A sheer security lapse was reported at Lahore Zoo as a TikToker was seen jumping into a lion’s enclosure to record a video for social media platform.
The video that has gone viral on social media has raised serious concerns over security arrangements at the facility.
According to reports, the TikToker repeatedly jumped inside the prohibited area close to the lion’s enclosure and inside the cage, while security personnel present at the zoo allegedly failed to stop him.
The incident has raised questions about the implementation of safety protocols and the performance of security staff at the zoo.
The zoo administration said a new security company was being hired to strengthen security arrangements and ensure the safety of visitors and animals.
This is not the first time that a man has taken the risk of his life to go viral on social media.

Earlier in Swat, a young TikToker died when his pistol went off while filming a video in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The incidence of deaths due to the adoption of new ways of making videos for social media through TikTok could not be reduced; the passion for uniquely making videos took another life.
The deceased was identified as Abu Bakar, 26, a resident of Saidu Sharif, Shaheen Abad area of Swat.
According to the reports, Abu Bakar accidentally shot himself while shooting a video for the popular social media video-sharing platform TikTok.
The police reached the spot, as soon as the incident was reported, shifting the body of the young man to Central Hospital Saidu Sharif.
